Gold Eye Quilting Needles size 9
These are my all-time favorite needles for hand quilting. I know some quilting authorities say you have to use one of those teeny-tiny needles to make little stitches, but I say Bah-Humbug! Life is way too short to spend time trying to thread and hold onto those microscopic needles!
These are great! They are sturdy and rarely bend so you can load a TON of stitches onto them. Plus you can actually thread the thing without having laser surgery first!! |

Patchwork Scissors
by Clover
These scissors are amazing!! Recommended by Jinny Beyer in her book on hand piecing. Very sharp with a serrated edge on one blade that acts like a little gripper to keep your fabric from slipping while the other blade cleanly cuts it. Designed for accurately cutting multiple layers of fabric and patches for hand piecing. Scissors are 7" long. Stainless steel blades. Comes with cover for blades. Boxed. (I love mine!! Well worth the money.)
Retails for $26.50.

Clover Applique Pins
Clover promotes these pins as being excellent for applique...and I definitely agree, but I also find them quite handy for other hand work as well. I use mine to secure the layers in an area where I am hand quilting, to hold patches together for hand piecing, and to hold applique shapes in place. They are quite nice due to their short length...only 3/4" long...You'll find that your thread rarely gets caught on these pins while you are working. Enjoy!
